Rappin' for the King was originally written in the Genre of Old School Rap.  And although I am not a big Rap fan, I do love the legends. One of them was Sugar Hill Gang and they had a song where they told a story and talked to the beat of the song, or rapping, or rappin' for short.  I wondered what would happen if a southern Gospel group sang a rap song, what would it sound like?  Well, as you know I am a Polyjamorous composer, so wonder no more.
